Annual Meeting The Tennessee Business Roundtable’s Annual Meeting is held in April. The Annual Meeting will feature prominent speakers on key legislative and policy issues. The meeting focuses on the mission of Tennessee Business Roundtable and updates members on pertinent agenda items. This year we will conduct a legislative "Day on the Hill' where Tennessee Business Roundtable members can meet with members of the legislature. A membership reception is held after the meeting. Regional Meetings Regional Meetings are held for TBR members and other area business leaders as various issues arise. These meetings are called and confirmed as schedules permit and generally scheduled during summer and fall. Next Meeting: TBA
Planning Session In the fall of the year, the Executive Committee, Board Members, and Presidents Council meet to plan the agenda for the Annual Meeting and to develop the priorities for the upcoming year. Next Meeting: October 16, 2008 - Nashville, TN
Executive Committee The TBR Executive Committee holds monthly conference calls to discuss current issues and activities. The Executive Committee and the Board may have special meetings called by the President.
Legislative Committee TBR Members are encouraged to attend Legislative Committee Meetings when relevant issues may be discussed. On occasion, members are asked to make presentations before Legislative Committees.

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system based in Memphis, Tenn. Founded in 1918 by The United Methodist Church to help meet the growing needs for quality healthcare in the Mid-South, MLH has grown from one hospital into a seven-hospital system that includes a pediatric medical center, a home health agency, ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient clinics serving the Memphis area.
Gary Shorb has served as president & CEO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) since October 2001. MLH is a seven-hospital system featuring a pediatric medical center, home health agencies and outpatient clinics that serve the entire Mid-South. Methodist is one of the largest hospitals in the country and has been named by Verispan, the nation’s premier rating system, as one of the Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Networks.
Before joining MLH, Shorb served as president of the RegionalMedicalCenter in Memphis for four years. His community service is extensive, serving on the boards of Memphis Tomorrow, the NationalCivilRightsMuseum, the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce - where he served as 2005 Board Chairman, the Memphis Bioworks Foundation and the University of Memphis Board of Visitors.
Prior to his health care career, Shorb was a project engineer with Exxon and a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from ClemsonUniversity and a Master of Business Administration from MemphisStateUniversity (now the University of Memphis).
